The installation of a TRACKER system requires some preplanning specific to each location. Strategic placement of beacons is used to create zones in the system, providing the most appropriate end information, while keeping hardware to a minimum. If the total length of the electrical connection exceeds 1 km, then electrical repeaters, or fiber optic links with corresponding converters, may be required to extend coverage area.
