PED Antenna Network

Mine Site Technologies has a team of radio technicians experienced in ultra low frequency (ULF) system designs to provide the optimum signal coverage to a mine from the PED System.

The PED System is relatively simple to implement, as the through the earth (TTE) signalling capability of the system does give considerable leeway in laying out an antenna route. However, to optimize the antenna installation for both signal coverage and cost effectiveness, Mine Site Technologies’ experience can ensure these are achieved.

So with PED being the only available through the earth (TTE) mine communication system, Mine Site Technologies would ensure that your installation meets all your requirements, taking into account antenna route options, physical access constraints on the surface or underground, etc. Additionally the installation of the various receiver types onto personal cap lamps, into vehicles and into equipment control panels, needs to be well planned to minimize any impact on the day to day operation of your mine. We would work with the mine’s engineering staff to develop a plan to ensure a smooth installation.
