New, Lightweight Cap Lamp Released

We are pleased to announce the release of a totally new concept in miners' cap lamps. The Integrated Communications Cap Lamp (ICCL) uses the latest lithium ion battery technology means the ICCL is 1/3 the weight & size of the traditional cap lamp.

But more importantly, within this small package a number of vital safety and communication devices, such as:

  • PED Pager Receiver
  • Tag for tracking personnel through the mine
  • Two-way radio

The ICCL is designed to work with existing charging racks, so capital costs are minimized in changing over to the use of ICCL.

With success in the initial installations at four mine sites, we are now finalizing coal mine approvals in Australia, China and the United States; all of which are expected to be completed well before the end of 2005.

For more information on the ICCL, please click on the ICCL picture above.
