Chinese Coal Mines Order more Mine Communications Systems

Further to our recent success in getting our first TRACKER Tagging System into China, we have just received orders for two more PED Communications Systems, and an extension to one of our first Chinese PED Installations.

The new PED Systems are at:

  • Nantun Coal Mine
  • Ma Jiliang Coal Mine
  • While Mei Yukou coal mine is expanding the PED System installed four years ago.

In fact Mei Yukou Mine was our first PED installation in China, so it is very encouraging seeing them expand the system to meet current mine requirements (the mine having grown considerably in the last four years).

Ma Jiliang and Mei Yukou mines are operated by the Datong Coal Group in Shanxi Province. The Datong the mining group remain our largest user in China, operating seven of our 12 PED installations, and we are very appreciative of their support.

The PED Systems have operated extremely well in China, improving day to day communications at the mines, as well as forming part of the mines’ emergency preparedness/evacuation systems (see pictures of the Chinese Vesrion BeltPED Receivers below).
