BlastPED to be MST's First Technology into Tanzania

We are very pleased to have received an order for our BlastPED ST/Exel system for use North Mara Gold Mine in Tanzania. North Mara is owned & operated by African Mashariki Gold Mines, a wholly owned subsidiary of Placer Dome.

The mine blasting contractor, UEE Tanzania Limited, had used the BlastPED ST System in their Australian based operations. We are very pleased they have judged that experience so positively and wanted to apply the technology at North Mara.

BlastPED ST allows the remote initiation of blasts in open pit mines through the use of a Controller sending ARM and BLAST commands to a Remote unit to initiate the signal tube lead in line.
