BHP Billiton Broadmeadow Coal Mine PED System
BHP Billiton Mitsubishi Alliance’s new underground coal mine in central Queensland has ordered a PED System to provide the main emergency warning system at the mine.
With the PED System forming an important part of the emergency warning and general communication system at a number of other of BHPB’s mines, PED was seen as an part of this new high production mine.
The other BHPB coal mines using PED include Crinum, West Cliff, Dendrobium and Appin in Australia, and the San Juan Coal Mine in the USA.
