TRACKER Beacon - reads active RFID Tags
The Readers are actually Wi-Fi Access Points, with one of their functions being to receive the RFID Tag ID transmissions.
The Access Point enclosure (figure right) is made of 1.6mm stainless steel and protected against water and dust (IP66). Beacons require a 10 - 48V DC supply, and uses variety of antennas to suit the application. LED indicators, clearly visible from the front panel, display operational status.
TRACKER beacons can, as a minimum, reliably record 10 tags or more moving past in a vehicle at 40 km/h, and significantly more moving at lesser speeds.
