We have a complementary suite of technologies to address key application requirements in mines.
By clicking on the key application listed below you will get more detailed information that application and it’s use in a mine.
Underground Tracking
A key application of our underground ImPact Digital Network is tracking via active RFID Tags being detected by the ImPact System’s Wireless Network Switches. The ability to track personal and equipment provides a very powerful safety and management tool.
Operational Communications
Two-way communications for voice and data is essential in the safe and productive operation of any business. This is even more so in the underground mining environment and hence we have developed high quality, high bandwidth communication networks to ensure you are always in contact with people and monitored devices in your mine.
Emergency Communications
The underground mining environment presents challenges for communications, particularly in emergencies where underground infrastructure can be damaged. To ensure messages can always be sent to personnel in cases of emergency our PED System uses ultra low frequency signals to transmit directly through rock strata from an antenna on the surface. Known as Through-the-Earth (TTE) signalling.
Vehicle & Production Monitoring
The use of the on-board Vehicle Intelligence Platform (VIP) data logger/Wi-Fi bridge enables real-time engine and load diagnostics to be uploaded and available for reporting in MST’s MineDash software or used by third party dispatch systems to eliminate the need for manual input of location and load information.
Proximity Detection
The interaction of personnel and vehicles in a mining environment present one of the key safety risks in any operation. To provide an additional level of control of these risks we provide a highly reliable Proximity Detection System.
Remote Centralized Blasting
Our BlastPED System uses our Through-the-Earth PED System or Leaky Feeder Radio System transmission to remote initiators that allow blasting to be done from the surface without the need for a separate hard wired, blasting cables circuit.
